Travelling With a Newborn

You can travel with your baby as soon as they’re born, so it’s up to you when you start travelling with your little one. The only exception is that airlines prefer your baby to be at least a week old before they fly. You may find it more comfortable to travel once you have settled into being a new parent and you have a routine between you and your baby, around three months old. The advantages of travelling when your baby is young is that they are happy to be carried, pushed in a pram or in a travel cot and at such a young age they aren’t fussy about where they sleep. If you’re travelling on a plane with your newborn you may find feeding breastmilk with a bottle or at the breast beneficial during take off and landing
